The SEMP monitoring and evaluation process is shown in the figure below. This process is conducted during each fiscal year to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of mitigation and environmental stewardship measures adopted by Fort Johnson and KNF. The evaluation process is also used to determine whether or not there is a need to modify either agency’s operations or management practices to achieve desired SEMP goals and objectives, or to revise SEMP metrics and performance targets. The terms and conditions of the Special Use Permit governing Fort Johnson's use of KNF lands could also be modified, if the results of monitoring and evaluation indicated a need to do so.
